It's official
I am officially a stay-at-home mom. I quit my job today. It was one of the hardest things I've ever done in my life. I loved my co-workers. I loved doing transactions for people I would've normally been scared of. I loved the 3-inch thick plexi glass that protected me from people and smells. I loved all the crazy stories I'd come home with so excited to tell Casey. I loved knowing everything about people's financial situations. I loved feeling different. I loved learning how to understand what people said to me. I love that I'm getting teary-eyed while I'm writing this. Farewell Educator's Credit Union, I'll love you forever.

Grocery shopping etiquette
Lately I've been looking through the ads looking for good deals on food. Before Christmas break I went to Sentry because there were some good deals there. After 5 minutes of shopping there I realized why I don't go there more often: People who shop there don't have grocery shopping etiquette. I know that Sentry isn't the only place who has offenders but Sentry is the only place that is filled with offenders.
Scene 1: I want to buy some fresh green beans, there is a lady standing in front of them touching every single one and picking them out one by one. After waiting for about a minute I decide to come back later.
Scene 2: I head over to the frozen foods because Lean Cuisines are on sale. There is an older couple there. The wife is going through each kind asking her husband if he likes it or doesn't like it. I decide to come back to that aisle later.
Scene 3: Next on the list is sweet and sour sauce so I stroll to the ethnic food aisle, which I think is probably my best bet of having the aisle to myself. I'm wrong. This time there is a lady with her cart parked horizontal so I can't get by. She's pretty old. If she were younger I would go up and push her cart out of the way, but instead I decide to go somewhere else in the store. Green beans again.
Scene 4: The green bean lady is still there, at least her produce bag is filled up a little more than before.
Scene 5: Me leaving with only half of my list in the cart, and a crying baby, vowing to never go to Sentry during the day again.
Although I feel bad that I can't shop happily with Sentry's average aged shopper of 75 years old, I still think that these people should know grocery shopping etiquette. Or maybe I'm the only one in the world who knows about it. Either way I'm staying away from Sentry from now on.

Happy Birthday Casey!!!
Yesterday was Casey's 27th birthday. I think I was more excited than he was for it! I love surprising him with presents, and making his favorite rainbow chip cake. To start his birthday out right he stayed up until 1:30 that morning with Carly and let me sleep. He is the best husband and daddy. We love you Casey!!!

Carly's blessing
Carly was blessed in my parent's ward in Provo last Sunday. All of Casey's family and my family were able to come. It was so much fun to have both of our families together for the event. Carly has blessed our lives so much that it's hard for us to realize ever being happy before she was born! It's so amazing how happy seeing her smile can make us. We love her so much!

Home again, home again
Our two-week trip to Utah was awesome. I love the feeling of being home with my family. It's one of the best feelings in the world! Our time there went by so fast. I was so excited to hit up all the Mexican food joints so we went to all three (Cafe Rio, Costa Vida, and Bajio). I would have eaten Mexican food everyday if Carly could have handled it! We had a really fun Christmas. We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas morning at my parent's and Christmas evening with Casey's parents.
Carly was an amazing little traveler! Even though she didn't sleep for more than 20 minutes on both flights she never cried or whined. Everyday we realize how lucky we are to have such a good baby. She is always happy and smiling at us! While we were in Utah she started to sleep longer and longer through the night and now she only wakes up once to eat at night! It's so weird how extremely happy this has made me. I guess it helps me to realize that I can actually have a normal amount of sleep again.

We're back, and freezing
We made it back to Milwaukee yesterday after our wonderful 2 week vacation in Utah... All of our exciting posts about the trip, including pics from Carly's blessing are coming!
