6 months!

This post is a week late because our computer crashed last week and we've been on vacation. We may be computerless for a while because lets face it computers aren't cheap.

Little Carliflower turned 6 months last week!  I can't believe it.  She's half a year old!  She can sit up by herself, drink out of a sippy cup, and "scoot" on her tummy. She's so much fun.  She loves to suck on her toes and sleep in weird positions.
Height: 26.5" -75%
Weight: 16.7 -60%

Being sick blows chunks...literally

We've been in Utah since the 21st. It has been so great to see family again!  We miss our families so much.  Coming back to Utah makes us realize how much we miss it.  The people, places, and food are all beautiful! It has been a fun and interesting trip  (Casey left back to Milwaukee today).  We all got the GI flu.  While we were camping in Blanding, UT for a Green family reunion the flu started going around until it hit our family on Memorial Day.  Poor Carly seemed to get the worst of it.  Camping with a sick baby was pretty tiring!  Now hopefully I can get over this already 72-hour flu so I can get some Cafe Rio (and not throw it up)!

I ♥ Aldi

Ever since I stopped working after Carly was born I've been trying to find ways to save money. There are a few things that I won't skimp on but as for food I'm definitely willing to forgo the name brand to save some money. Which brings me to my new found shopping love, Aldi.

I saw Aldis all over Europe when Kari and I were there but when Casey and I moved here to Milwaukee I was a little hesitant to venture into one because someone once told me it was ghetto. I got over my fear of ghetto-ness after working in the ghetto for a year and a half so I finally made my way to one. I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed shopping there my first time, and now I do 90% of my grocery shopping there. I love being able to walk down the aisles and just grab things that I need instead of checking unit prices for different brands. Plus everything I've ever purchased at Aldi has been great quality, and tastes the same as buying stuff full price somewhere else.

After figuring out how much money we've saved from shopping at Aldi I'm never buying food anywhere else! All you haters best be steppin'!

Pictures!

We decided to get Carly's pictures taken for her half birthday. She'll be 6 months in less than 2 weeks! We're going to Utah in 2 weeks so I wanted to get some pictures before we left. We had the hardest time trying to get Carly to smile. I think there's only one out of the whole bunch where she's smiling, lil punk!
