Frozen Tundra

It was so fun to have my parents here in Milwauks! We had so much fun. We did a lot of traveling around. We went to Madison one day (I really wanted a Jamba Juice), Waukesha another day, and Green Bay/Costco the last day.

Because my dad was here on business my parents had a rental car that was from Canada that only had kilometers/hr on the speedometer. It was interesting, but we never got pulled over! In Madison we drove around the capitol and went to Jamba Juice then on our way back we went to "The Domes" in Milwaukee. I had heard mixed reviews on them so I was worried, but they actually were really cool. My parents and I love plants so it was cool seeing all the varieties. The seasonal dome was pretty lame but the other two made up for it.

We went to Waukesha so my dad could meet with people for his work. It was pretty cool seeing Keesha, and we randomly stopped at a little Taco joint for lunch and saw six missionaries eating there.

Green Bay was a lot of fun. Casey took the day off of work to come with us. Before we left up to Green Bay we stopped at the Harley tour. I thought it would be interesting to learn about the motorcycles. The tour consisted of watching a ten minute video about the brand and then taking a 45 minute factory tour. We walked around the factory wearing goggles and a headphone that was hooked up to the tour guides microphone. I couldn't hear her the whole tour because it was so loud in the factory, but it was worth going to see the factory.

Next we went to Lambeau Field. We took the tour and it was fun to go places that we wouldn't normally be able to go. We got to go up to the biggest boxes that are like $800,000 a season. The coolest part was going down onto the field and walking out through the tunnel. They played music/crowd cheering effects to make it sound legit when we walked out. Casey got teary eyed.

On our way back from Green Bay my parents took us to the new Costco in Grafton. Casey and I only have a Sam's Club card so we hadn't been there yet. I personally think Costco is 100,000x better than Sam's Club and I was so excited to go. It took me back to living with my parents taking weekly Saturday trips there to socialize, pick up our lunch via the sample tables, and most importantly just hanging out at our "country club" while picking up the week's necessities. I love the Costco lifestyle. Thanks mom and dad!

Evolution O' Easter

Casey and I started a tradition of wearing the same outfit for Easter every year. We've done it for three years in a row starting on the Easter when we were dating. This Easter I didn't want to wear the brown shirt/white cardigan combo but Casey begged me and I caved in. Our Easter was great. Casey totally surprised me with an Easter basket filled with goodies and a plush peeps bunny. My parents flew in at about 5:30 p.m. They drove to our apartment and had Easter dinner and hung out. It's sooo good to have my parents here in Milwaukee. I was so excited to see them. They're staying here until Thursday. Here are the pictures of our Easter evolution.
The tradition is born! Casey and I were dating this Easter and we didn't even plan to dress alike. We were made for each other. Casey came over to my parent's house to eat dinner that night and he gave me an Easter bunny and told me that night he wanted to marry me, SCORE! (We didn't "officially" get engaged for another month)
Second year. Both of us put on a few pounds and I'm definitely not looking quite as cute. Everyday we we're looking a little more like the classic Wymount couple. Good thing we got out of there fast! We ate dinner at my parent's again. YUM.
This year. Looking a few MORE pounds heavier. A little pasty too, thanks Milwaukee! We're both just lovin' life. Stay tuned for next year's picture...

Stuffing my face with Easter candy

Easter candy is so much better than Christmas candy. Nasty candy canes are nothing compared to the basket filling sweet goodness of every flavored and filled chocolate eggs. I took a trip to Walgreens to pick up a prescription and as I was waiting I was mesmerized by all their Easter candy. It is ridiculous. I kept picking up the mini Cadbury Creme Eggs and then putting them back again. After the wait I thought I could handle the temptation of walking back through the candy aisle but somehow I ended up walking out with a bag of candy anyway. Stay away!

Casey has been trying to call Korea today to talk to some people from his mission. He can't remember how to use a calling card plus the Korea country code plus everything else. If anyone knows how to call internationally with a calling card let me know. He's called a couple of times before with a lot of troubles and he can't remember what he did to get it to work before. It's fun to listen to him speak his Korean on the phone. I love it.

I am politically incorrect

Last week Casey and I got Girl Scout cookies from a girl that I work with. I was surprised to find out that she's 17 and still a Girl Scout. When I was ordering the cookies from her about a month ago I was confused because I couldn't find my favorite Samoas anywhere on the order form! I asked her if they sell them and she said she'd never heard of any cookie called a Samoa. I asked the people I work with if they had ever heard of a Samoa. "No", "No", "No, you racist", "No". I looked at all the descriptions of the cookies trying to find a suitable alternative and finally found the Caramel Delight. The picture and description were EXACTLY the same as my Samoa cookie. I guess here in Wisconsin naming cookies after an ethnicity is politically incorrect. Oh well, at least I got my chocolately, coconuty, caramely, cookie goodness. Whatever the PC name is.

Finally a vacation

Two days ago Casey and I bought tickets to Hawaii. We're going in June with my family. We've been checking prices for the past month and we both got really sick of checking everyday so we finally buckled down and got them. We'll be in Maui for a day and a half and then Oahu for little over a week. We're soooo excited! Casey has never been to Hawaii before so I'm really excited we're going. We'll be staying at my parent's timeshare in Oahu. Here is a picture:

Firey

Today at work right before we opened a car caught on fire in the parking lot, and these were not small flames. A fire truck came and people continued to park in the lot and wait in line for us to open. They didn't even looked surprised or scared at what was going on. Could my work be any more ghetto??? No.

I found this picture, the scene looked almost the same. Milwaukee old-school Lincoln and all.
